Rafał Gorzycki in studio...
Rafal Gorzycki with Pater, Urowski and Wojtczak (replaced Kaminski in Dziki Jazz quartet) have just recorded the music for a new album "Akineton".
Premiere - autumn 2011.
Rafal Gorzycki and his Ecstasy Project are recording in august a fifth album called - "They were P". Premiere - october 2011.

Latest album - Sing Sing Penelope & DJ Strangefruit is ready!
Premiere: 12.07.2010
It`s called "Electrogride" and recorded with norwegian star Pal Nyhus (Nils Petter Molvaer, Bugge Wesseltoft) specialized in new improvised electronics.
Album was recorded in april 2010 as a part of a project: "Electrogride - meeting of improvising musicians".
This project originally was including concerts in Poland. Unfortunately after the Polish Air Force One crash in Smolensk , the tournee was cancelled and artist recorded the album "Electrogride".
The whole Project including this album was sponsored and supported by a grant from Iceland,
Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism.
That is why the album is free and not for sale. All interested in having it can receive cds in clubs were concerts were suppose to place in.

NATIONAL MUSIC AWARDS - FRYDERYKI 2010 - Rafal Gorzycki as a member of the quartet: "Pater, Kamiński, Urowski, Gorzycki - Dziki Jazz"
has been just nominated to the National Academy Award "Fryderyki 2010" for The Best Jazz Debut of the Year.
Other nominated artists are: Michał Grott oraz Trio Mania. The results will be announced on the Gala on 19.04.2010 in Warsaw.

Two new albums soon - Rafal Gorzycki is finishing work on new project called: Rafał Gorzycki - " Trio Poems".
It is going to be the music for man`s vocal, electronics and drums. Musicians invited to the recording:
Krzysztof Nowinski - vocal and Dawid Szczesny - electronics.
There will be used poems by: Brodski, Szymborska, Bialoszewski. The Premiere - March 2009
On the other hand,Sing Sing Penelope is working on new, forth album. It will be a live album, featuring - one of the greatest trumpet player all over the Europe - Andrzej Przybielski. Recordings: 10.2008 , album`s Premiere: January 2009.

"Rafal Gorzycki looks at music through its twentieth-century struggle. Starting with improvisation and jazz he turns his attention towards the experiences of the European chamber music of the previous century. This is where he tries to find substantial solutions for his musical experiments. The music of mature Europe digested in the atonality, neo-Romanticism and minimalist experiments seems to be great support in his poetic excursions towards Europe Impossible, Europe with no Chaos, Europe of philosophers, artists and craftsmen. ECSTASY PROJECT bio
Band established in 1998 (Bydgoszcz/Poland) is one of the groups connected to Club "Mozg"
(Brain; eng.) named by top european newspapers as "the most creative place of recent
years".
The band`s debut album was released in 2001 by famous jazz label - Not Two Records (Cracow/Poland).
The second Ecstasy Project Trio album "Realium" was released by polish-american label "Polish Jazz
Networ" by Cezary Lerski,
"I
worked over one year on the conception of my second album. I meant to
describe some kind of melancholy. I exposed visions appearing during my
stay at the countryside. This is European jazz - my favorite." Rafal

After releasing in 2005 by PJN a compilation album
called: "The Best of Polish Jazz 2005" with Ecstasy Project composition, Ecstasy Project has started its european career.
In 2007, Rafal Gorzycki released third EP`s album: "EUROPAE", which is a special homage payed to the XX century`s european music.
The latest, double (CD + DVD) live album "Reminiscence Europae" (premiere: 05.2008) includes new compositions and some from "Europae" album.
Members of the group:
Tomasz Pawlicki (Bydgoszcz) - flute. Plays as a First flute player in National Opera House in Bydgoszcz. One of the greatest flute virtuosi in Europe. He is also a composer and performer.
Pawel Nowicki (Gdansk) - vibes. Graduated Music Conservatory in Strasburg - modern chamber music specialist . Awarded in Contemporary Music Competition in Rotterdam and Clerment-Ferrand. Close cooperator of
"Warsaw Autumn Festival". Leader of contemporary quartet - Kwartludium.
Paweł Urowski (Bydgoszcz) - double bass player. Student of final year on Music Academy in Wroclaw on Jazz classes. He studies acoustic bass in famous european bass player class: Jacek Niedziela. He is specialized in modern, acoustic jazz . He plays in: "0-12 Acoustic Quartet" and is a co-leader of "Soul Essence" Quintet . He also was a member of " Contemporary Noise Quintet" and recorded theirs debut album "Pig inside the gentleman.
All members of the group has taken part in numerous important europaen recordings, projects
and concerts with some of the most creative European ensembles and musicians,
including: Peter Kowald, Jon Rose, P. Friis-Nielsen, O. Magieres, N. Winther, C. Irgens-Moller,
John Doobie, Brandon Furman, Jorgos Skolias, Loco Richter, Tomasz Pawlicki,
Pomeranian Philharmony, National Opera House, National Theatre in Cracow,
Leszek Mozdzer, Milosc, Hanna Banaszak, Ryszard Tymanski, Marek Kazana,
Olo Walicki, Mikolaj Trzaska, Maestro Trytony, Antoni Gralak, Fire Birds, Maksymiuk , Andrzej Przybielski, Krzysztof Herdzin, Grzegorz Nadolny, Tomasz Pacanowski, Waclaw Wegrzyn and many others.
Ecstasy Project successfully performed at major jazz festivals in Poland
and Europe, including performances at : Jazz Jamboree, Warsaw Summer Jazz
Days, Gdynia Summer Jazz Days, Big Jazz Ear Budapest, Construction in
Process, The Polish Year in Austria, France, Greece, Germany and Jazz Week in Berlin.
